Johnny`s Pizza Restaurante in Lake Placid

Although the manicotti I ate was good, my food came out about 10 minutes after everyone else in my party got their pizza. They were just about done before I could begin eating. I also had to ask for silverware, we had to ask for napkins (we had wings as an appetizer), and no refills were offered.

Large they say? FRAUD I say. Their large pizza is just a medium (if that. Possibly just a small) 8 slice pizza divided into 12 uneven, misshaped tiny slices. An optical illusion and fooling the customer by charging way more in price for a "large". God forbid you had a lot of people to feed. Don't waste your money. Just another business not caring about the locals. They want the tourist money and don't care about a repeat customer just like Price Chopper selling spoiled food and replacing "sell by" dates. Head warning though, the pizza places around here are all trash especially Mr.Mike's and Bazzi's. I'm a food critic/auditor.

Need way better service....

Pizza was alright. I'm just kind of upset that they sold me a bowl of soup that was actually a can of progresso or campbells. Don't get the soup unless you're into canned soup, or just buy canned soup at the store.

Had specialty pizza wow!

Went there for dinner while on vacation. Hopeing for a nice pizza. Well first we got a pushy waitress, then a no flavor pizza, and greasy calzone. The waitress never came back to see how everything was, until it was time to get paid and tipped. I do not recommend this place.

I've been going to Johnny's since he opened. I grew tired of the other pizza joints in the village and have stayed with him. He makes a mean calzon and the service and prices are great.

The food was amazing. Perfect example of looks that can be deceiving. We stopped by during our trip to Lake Placid and though the outside looked beautiful, it felt a little sleepy inside. Maybe it was just because of the off hour that we got in. The staff were courteous but they seemed a bit quiet. Nothing to fret about though. The food that came out was a different story altogether. We were served complimentary garlic knots and chicken alfredo and pizza slice we ordered were really good. Would definitely recommend this place.

Pizza is very tasty. The sauce and crust are especially good. Only issue I'd say is that the large is a little on the small side for the price but overall I'd say it's worth it. No delivery charge is great as well. If you get your food delivered for free and don't tip the delivery guy you're scum.

Ordered the fish and chips. Fries were amazing but after using a whole packet of tartar sauce, i went to grab the second one and noticed all the packets had dirty brown stains.. The packet that i had opened had nasty dried up stains on it. I lost my appetite after that because they had placed multiple packets on my food dirty side down and I had rubbed the packet on my fish.

1st time here and I must say the pizza is awesome. That's coming from someone who has owned a Italian pizzeria. Never knew about it and will make this a regular stop.

It was ok. Nice big size. A variety of toppings on the supreme. The base is quite thin. The biggest issue is it's oily. The store is conviently located on the edge of town. The chef was great!

Great food and friendly waitstaff also have delicious pasta dishes ,also they serve beer and wine with a laid back family friendly atmosphere i would recommend this place to anyone!

Really good pizza dough flavor and texture. Toppings were pretty sub-par. Peperoni was cheap, sauce tastes like tomato paste and basil. Kinda disappointing. At $3+ a slice this is pretty unacceptable.

Whether for a slice or for a whole pizza, this is easily the second best pizza on main street Lake Placid behind Bazzi.

Very small dining room. Very attentive Hostess, possibly one of the owners. Food came hot, and quick. Chicken parmesan sub was very good. Lasagna was tasty but a bit non-traditional. Lots of sauce and meat very little pasta. Fountain drinks available, but you can also choose something out of the cooler. Parking lot as small as the dining room. I suspect a lot of their business is delivery.

Great tasting Pizza! Not too thin or thick, with a crust that crunches when you bite into it. Staff was friendly and one of the few places open late in Lake Placid.

Awesome pizza! I also order the baked ziti! Real good! Delivery fast and food still warm and delicious!

We really enjoyed the pizza here. It’s a very thin crust and foldable like New York style. I found this sauce to be flavorful and tasty. I don’t think it was very bland at all. We brought the kids after walking main street for the day. Kora love the pizza. We sat outside on the picnic table and although of the seating isn’t perfect it was nice to watch the traffic go by because it’s right near a light.

Overpriced, bland pizza and very light on the toppings. If this wasn't bad enough I had a cockroach run across the table. I've worked in rental properties for 20 years and it's a nightmare getting rid of roaches. They are easy to bring home on a take home container, seriously avoid this place.

Nice pizza. Got it delivered to hotel in a nice timely manner. Ordered from here based on their review's versus competitors. Happy with the choice as it appears many other guests were too. So many pizza boxes from Johnny's along the corridor's

Easily one of the best pizzas I’ve had. I travel frequently for work, and eat a lot of pizza along the way. This tops the list...really.

Most hillbilly place ever. If you park around the corner there are more hillbillies heckling at you. Really sketchy and they wont even let you drink from your own water bottle.

Good food, prices and nice small restaurant. I wouldn't call the pizza the best around, but it was definitely good. There stromboli was amazing.

Good pizza alittle pricey

This place is nice. It's pizza's slices weren't quite even, in size. The salad was very good, great quality. The cherry on top is it's name. Johnny decided not to call it a Pizzaria, but a Pizza Restaurant. This fact really cracked me up. So 5 stars.
